Abstract:

Discharges in small confined volumes of various dielectric and catalytic materials are getting increased attention in plasma chemistry due to their potential for various environmental applications. We tested and described the capillary discharges generated inside porous ceramics and addressed the effect of noble gases (argon and helium) and water vapor on the discharge basic properties and visual characteristics.
