Abstract:

In this paper electrical circuits for transient spark, a dc-driven self pulsed discharge, are discussed. Focus lies on the application of inductors to reduce electromagnetic noise and to improve power
efficiency. The possibility to use computer simulations as an aid is investigated. An equivalent circuit of the experimental setup and first simulation results using LTSpice and experimental plasma
resistance data are presented.
