Abstract:

Transient spark (TS) is a dc driven self-pulsing discharge with typical repetition frequency 1-10 kHz. The main advantage of TS is its ability of simultaneous generation of the plasma and the formation of microdroplets by electrospray (ES) of water directly inside the discharge zone. In this study, the production mechanism of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) was analyzed with oxygen as input gas in TS and ES system. These results are important for optimization and tuning of plasma activated water generation process.
